Question One: How did you cope with big game pressure?
Answer: I have a couple of things...I would talk to the people that were most important to me that would keep me focused. I would also have a routine that I would always do before games - this way everything felt normal and I wouldn't get worked up. I also listen to music.

Question two: How do you cope with with disappointment?
Answer: I missed out on the Beijing Olympics in 2008 due to injury. Since I was a little girl I had always dreamed of an Olympic Games, so it wasn't easy...I cried at first and surrounded myself with people that love and support me. Then I started again. Rehab, biking running- just for 4 mins at first and then building up my strength and conditioning. Hockey is something I love doing so giving up wasn't an option, that meant a lot of hard work, blood sweat and tears.
Question three:
How did you feel mentally when you made the NZ team?
Answer: It was one of the most exciting times of my life! I was straight out of high school, it was a complete surprise and I was very lucky as my best friend Charlotte Harrison was also in the team. because I was so young I was also very nervous, but you have to believe in yourself because no one else is going to give you something, you have to work for it.
